Venice!!

Next stop on our journey is Venice.

Coming into the city, it was great to see Kristen and Tyler's faces as we made the turn down the canal to see St. Marks Square and all the lovely buildings that line the grand canal. The Scheuer family has been here 5 years ago, but having Kristen and Tyler there made it all the better.

We did a walking tour, had some of the best pasta ever, and enjoyed the tiny water ways of Venice.

Here are a few pictures to share:

Anticipation as we approach Venice

In Saint Marcos Square

After exploring the tiny streets, we take a rest in front of an old church, while 2 guys play the violin.

The next morning we did a walking tour through the art district of Venice.

We learned about Gondolas (how they are made and their history) as well as the evolving neighborhoods.

Fun in one of the many Mask Shops.

One of the best dinners in Venice to celebrate Tyler's Birthday- Locanda Montin (Thanks Paula!!)

Brad got a little messy with the wine ;)

We would take a quick boat to and from Venice from our hotel. It was a great way to see the Giudecca Canal.

From the top of the Bell Tower in St. Mark's Square

On the Rialto Bridge

We had to stop by the local market to pick up some breakfast.

Tyler was more interested in the meat.

Success!

Loved Venice.

...And Bupa!! My new little friend.

Next we have Florence and then onto Tuscany.

Paris

Paris!

Finally we have strong enough service to write to you all.
Paris was amazing and we did sooooo much!
Lets just say we walked for 20+ miles in 14hrs and that didn't include walking up and down the Arch de Triumphe and Eiffel Tower. :)

Instead of telling you all about the places we went, I'm going to show you...

Early morning cappuccino and croissants.

Walking through the Jardin Tuileries

The Louvre

Then we walked around the streets of Paris exploring the neighborhoods. We had to stop at the famous falafel place, L'As du Falafel.

One of my favorite places, The Paris Opera House (that is us in the middle!)

On top of the Galleries Lafayette, we had and amazing view of Paris.

#2 in the series of Brad jumping over things...
